The Bookshop

Old it was

Down a cobblestone street

Hidden around the corner

Off the beaten path

Full of books

Dickens, Wordsworth,

Shelley, Keats, Tennyson,

Austen, Brontë, Eliot,

So many others

He loved it there

Old Tyme London

The bookseller ancient, grey, and cranky

But always willing to help

The young boy learned to appreciate books there

Sifting through the crinkled pages

Air musty...
